人民食物主权简介(中英文版)

人民食物主权网络形成于2013年8月,由来自大陆、香港、台湾两岸三地等多所高校的师生、NGO工作者、媒体人和民间实践者等发起。

我们认为,食物是人民大众最基本的民生品、公共品。当食物生产异化为商品生产,那么以资为本、以逐利为目的的生产体系、流通体系、营销体系便成为食物不安全问题频发的温床。

食物不安全背后的问题是广大普通生产者失去对生产的自主性,消费者失去真正的选择权,国家失去对食物的自主规划、调控和保障能力,这些都是食物主权的丧失。

我们关注食品安全和三农问题,关注食物生产者和消费者,也关注国家的相关政策及其实施。我们主张相互合作的生产者-消费者关系,呼吁保障人民和国家双重主体的权利,支持生态农业等可持续发展方式。

The People’s Food Sovereignty Network was formed in August of 2013 by participants from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, including academics, students, NGO workers, journalists, and grassroots practitioners. 

We believe that food is humanity’s most basic source of public welfare and common goods. However, as food production has been alienated into commodity production, thereby becoming dependent on capital and profit-seeking production, circulation, and marketing systems, it has become a breeding ground for the problem of food insecurity. 

The underlying problem causing food insecurity is that on a massive scale, ordinary food producers have lost their production autonomy, consumers have lost the right to real choices, and nations have lost the power to autonomously plan, regulate, and protect food systems. All of this has contributed to the losses faced by food sovereignty. 

We focus on food security and agrarian change, food producers and consumers, and related national policies and their implementation. We advocate mutual cooperation between producers and consumers, call for the protection of both the people’s and the nation’s rights to food sovereignty, and support ecological agriculture and sustainable development.
